Applications are now open for the African Liberty Writing Fellowship Program, a year-long initiative aimed at training young Africans aspiring for careers in academia, media, public policy, or any analytical writing-related field. Accepted candidates will undergo a mandatory five-week online training, running from May 21, 2024, to June 18, 2024. Following this training, top performers will be selected as African Liberty writing fellows.
The fellowship itself spans from July 8, 2024, to July 8, 2025, providing participants with numerous benefits. These include access to expert instructors, the opportunity to contribute to Africa’s leading newspapers, and the chance for TV and radio features. Additionally, top contributors will receive a monthly stipend throughout the duration of the fellowship. This program offers a unique platform for emerging voices in Africa to develop their skills and make meaningful contributions to critical discourse.
